My Omen30L, after putting it to sleep overnight, will not wake-up, The Power button does nothing, I have to unplug the power to turn it off and turn it back on again. The sleep appears to work normally if you leave it sleep mode for a few hours.

It is probably not going to sleep. Some application is stopping it or a device or two cannot sleep. If your graphics card cannot go to sleep it will probably over heat. Same for the CPU.. I am guessing a fan has stopped but the device is not really sleeping and eventually the system locks up.
Bring up the windows event viewer and look under both applications and system for a message such as "vetoed sleep" or "vetoed shutdown"
You have a gaming system and possibly a game did not exit properly and that prevented sleep. Alternately, the game never exited and does not allow the system to sleep when it is running.
A quick fix is to go into the power plan and specify to hibernate instead of sleep. Hibernate will shut down the system.
I assume you have the latest microsoft updates and have run the HP Support Assistant to look for updates.
