If i opened my case before my warranty expired, will HP still resolve issue or do they stop helping even with a case after warranty expiration date is passed?

That's a good question.
We cannot speak for HP Support, of course.
My understanding is that once opened within the Warranty period, an accepted case will be completed regardless of whether the Warranty is active at the time the repair is completed.
Contact HP Support using the information provided when your case was open - have your case number handy as reference -- ask whatever questions you have about your situation.
