HP 17 Laptop PC 17-cp2000 IDS Base Model

I needed information on how its best to close your laptop when your finished foe thar session. I usually leave it open and when I come back it doesn't always come up. When I close the screen same thing it will not turn on. I have to power down laptop than turn it back on.  Is there a better or correct way to do this....

Hi:

If you are using the PC several times a day, you can select the sleep option using the Windows power button.

There should be an option to select what the PC does when you close the lid, and you can select sleep from the list of options.

If you have the PC set to sleep when closing the lid, it should come back on when you open the lid and press any key.

If it doesn't, something is not right.

I shut the notebook down when I know I won't be using it anymore that day.

Leaving the PC in sleep mode when not plugged in drains the battery faster than shutting it down.
