I was having issues, ran through the diagnostic steps and bot an Failed status on a BIOS test (Video Extensive check).

I went through the HP site and was pointed to a local service provider (London Drugs). I was informed that they're going to check the warranty coverage (it wasn't coming up through whatever site they were using), and even if the warranty coverage was in-place, I'd be charged a diagnostic fee. This is after providing the error codes, and detailed history.

Anyway, is it reasonable that the provider is charging a fee? Should I try someplace else?
