Wont Post.. Beeps 4 time's

conpaq 8200, All in
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi There, have a Compaq 8200 that won't post...tried disconnecting and pushing power button ten seconds...checked the motherboard  battery also…  Power Supply seems fine...anyone got any ideas... I have taken out the CD drive.

Given the date of your post, I would have expected someone to respond to it before this -- but since that has not happened, I will take a shot at it ...

This is an older PC (2012 era?) and with these issues, I would suspect motherboard failure.

 

These PCs usually have an LED on the back that glows when the power is getting to the PC.  If yours has that, check the LED. If it is out, the PSU is bad.

 

On these older Compaq PCs, four beeps usually indicates that an attempt to flash the BIOS has failed, and if that is the case, you are stuck as I don't think HP is supporting these older models anymore.
