My Z820 has been acting fine, but all of a sudden yesterday it acted fickle, and then later tonight I found it turned off. On boot, it now takes forever. It takes a few minutes to get to the OROM message screen, then about 7 minutes to get to the loading windows screen. From the time you push the power button to when you have a log in screen may be 15-20minutes, but I have not been able to get past that. Nothing has changed on the machine. Is there anything I can do or check?
I have 8 DIMMS of memory and I removed all but 1 set, no change. I have no errors otherwise. I am in the process of building a new machine to replace it and I guess it will be destined for the scrap yard after removing the SSD. Id like to make it work though.
