Solved!

boot error

Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)
When I shut down and connect to a differant monitor, it won't restart. Gives 2 beeps followed by two different toned beeps and does not stop. I hold power button down till off, then restart and all starts good until I switch monitors again.

Really?

From: HP Pavilion 590-p0050 Desktop PC Product Specifications

Product number - 3LA16AA

Release date - 27-Apr-2018
Country/Region sold in - United States

your computer was factory-loaded with Windows 10, not Windows XP.

The HP Warranty that came with your new computer is still active.

If you don't get help on this forum, contact HP to get them to trouble-shoot.

Different pitch ("high/low") or different length ("short-short-short-long") ?

The computer has integrated video, but it has provision for installing an add-in graphics adapter.

So, if your computer has that add-in graphics adapter, and it is not properly "seated", then connecting/disconnecting a monitor to the video-output socket may cause those symptoms, by "wiggling" the adapter.

Be sure to power-off your computer before changing monitors.

Yes, it has Windows 10 Home, my mistake. Guess I miss my XP. I'm using integrated graphics. I'll bring it back to store tonight and see what they say. Unless there is a quick simple solution that someone may have from having the same issue.

Returned to retailer for exchange. Second one works great. Thank you.
