Pavilion TP01-1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer came with a 256gb SSD M.2 drive and I wanted to move windows to a larger 512gb m.2 drive. That drive is installed on a PCIe expansion card.

I was able to clone the OS and all my programs to the new drive using Macrium Reflect but I cant seem to find a way to boot from that drive. The new drive shows up as the F: drive.   Ive gone into the BIOS, but apparently UEFI only lists "boot from OS drive" (or something like that) as an option. Is it as easy as going into Disk Management and changing drive letters? If this doesnt work, can I just pull the new drive out? Will the system reconfigure the original drive to C:?

Any suggestions about how to boot from the new 512gb drive?

I suggest you try reinstalling the Windows on the New Drive first using the Recovery Media

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file inorder to install Windows operating system. Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06162205 to Use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10, 7)

Thank you

Thanks for the suggestion, but that requires that I reinstall ALL of my programs and settings. Another full day's work. It used to be an easy bios selection to boot from a 2nd drive. I guess those days are over.:(

I understand your concerns and Yes it is time consuming. By right now that is the only option 😌
