cmos reset (502) issue

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there, when turning on pc get a CMOS checksum invalid msg, when pressing enter does not reset, I have tried all the options given by virtual chat to no avail...I can perform BIOS update, this verifies ok but then when it tells you its been done and press enter to continue it goes back to the CMOS checksum issue.....I have just spent £48 buying HP system recovery USB carefully following instructions included but nothing???   Stuck now have no idea what to do and only had the pc a week or two 😞

I recommend you restore the BIOS defaults following the steps in the below article and check if it helps.


If you continue facing the issue, then I recommend you replace the CMOS battery and check.
