Help I need download a update bios file sp150941.exe  I tried the hp support site and does not give an option to download. I have an HP pavilion 15-ec0013dx laptop with a black screen. trying to boot but only the power and caps are flashing. Thank for any help.

I missed the reason why you need a BIOS file.


Run the downloaded BIOS update on a second PC. Then select the USB recovery drive option. You would need a blank USB stick to create a BIOS recovery drive.

Insert the, successfully prepared, USB BIOS recovery stick in an open USB port your PC when the PC is off. Press and hold down the "Windows Key" and the "B" key at the same time. Now simultaneously press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds. Then only release the power button.

The BIOS recovery should start.

 

You may need to have a local PC Tech do a BIOS recovery using a Serial ISP Programmer if you cannot recover the BIOS.
