Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

You are having a problem with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. Have you verified the SSD works in a different PC?

 

I have seen this problem with certain HP Consumer PCs in this forum before . No solution was offered.

 

A SATA SSD should work if a SATA HDD works. Try a 2.5 inch HP SSD.

 

Try this BIOS update for your MB (Link).

 

Or reset the current BIOS to defaults. Or remove the MB CR2032 battery. Let the PC sit for a while.

 

Reinstall the MB battery.

 

Try the current SSD again.
