my hp pavilion 500-314 will not enter bios on boot up.

my hp pavilion 500-314 will not enter bios on boot up. i saw that 2 other users had this issue.  I now get the blue screen of death also.  I am dead in the water, please advise

Here's an update...success

Had to remove motherboard battery, and move cmos jumper to reset position, and just let it sit overnight.  i

When I woke it up the next morning the bios was reset and working fine.  i also fixed the blue screen of death using  a recovery usb drive.
