P6000

I got an HP motherboard Pegatron IPMEL-AE to make it a PC again, but I'm in the HP screen and when I press esc and select the USB stick, come to the windows, but that's all . how can I fix this so that I can install Windows 10 and possibly disable the hp startup screen.

in addition, what the rom recovery jumper positions mean

Hi

So you have a USB stick with something on, that hopefully makes it a W10 installation media?

So you need to boot to that Media and it should automatically load and begin the install.

So what is actually on the USB?

pc do not start up

Hi

Well it seems like a BIOS issue, the format of the Devices do not match.  Secure/Legacy Boot -  MBR/GPT.

Insifficient RAM, unsuitable Graphic config?

I know that document and that is where the cmos jumper is described and not the ROM recovery. see arrow on photojumper.JPG

Hi

Your piccy may take some time to show.

BUT mine shows the ROM Recovery from the page I linked to.

ROM REC.png

So perhaps you need to do a little more careful research.

ROM Recovery header

This connector allows qualified technicians to reload firmware into the SPI boot flash in case there is problem with the data.

This jumper should not be changed.

Hi,

I don't recommend mucking around with the ROM recovey. I guarantee it won't have anything to do with your issue.

Try this:

1. From a state of "off", plug in your USB stick, turn PC on.

2. Go into bios and 'Load Setup Defaults & Exir"

3. As soon as it reboots, keep tapping F9 until the boot menu appears.

4. Select your USB stick.

If it doesn't see your USB stick, then try another USB port.

If it attempts to boot off the stick but fails, your stick may not be bootable. Re-create it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

Earlier Windows 7 HP PC's quite often did not have an 'ESC' menu. You could only get to a boot menu via F9.

Hope this helps.
