qw691aa bios update for W10

qw691aa P7-1210
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Since the crappy HP NO-Support Failed Assistant doesn't even recognize a still viable computer, I am trying to find updates manually. Unlike the high quality DELL Support website, HP does not even allow an owner to browse for drivers.

Where is the BIOS download page?

qw691aa bios update for W10

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

HP does not support Windows 10 on your PC.

The only BIOS update, dated October 2014, is for Windows 7 (Link).

A 2014 BIOS update would not make installing Windows 10 work if you cannot install or run Windows 10 now.

Regards.

Thanks for the reply, i already have W10 installed, so installing W10 is not the issue. The issue is that HP only shows W7 and W8 bios updates on the site. If they were like others they would have updated bios by date, and they would be available for the product when it is scanned or entered into the  downloads/drivers section. Now selecting by OS is their demand and they dont even have an updated BIOS for W10.

Frustrated is all, no reason to NOT have updated BIOS for all OS's, just another way to try and force people to upgrade their computer more often, kinda like they do with printers, give the printers for free, charge for the ink and watch the Lemmings flock to them for the 'free' printer.

Frustrated at this point, glad this is a friends computer and not mine, another reason to buy a Dell.
