Pavilion G620T
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

HP Pavilion G620T was slowing till only booted once in diagnostic and recovery mode.

Backed up Hard Drive

Then will not boot and displays "No boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed"

Replaced hard drive and still will not boot

displays hp startup screen and goes to blue window icon on black screen then displays same error

"No boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed"

Tried switching between booting from Legacy Support and Secure Boot not helping

Tried booting from Win10 recovery downloaded from Microsoft

Machine originally came with Win 7 and upgraded to Win 10

Do not have a Win 10 product code

Tried command prompts Bootrec /fixmbr and Bootrec /fixboot   states not allowed

Hi,

I would try a different SATA data cable. Or try a different SATA port.

It appears the original HDD may not be the problem if a new HDD yields the same error.

Also look at the SATA power cable if the HDD is not detected in the BIOS.

Regards
