Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Have to make this assumption: Your PC shipped from HP with the 16 GB Optane drive and your motherboard (MB) supports Optane (Intel Gen 7 or higher). The HP factory image supports an Optane configuration.

The new 32 GB Optane drive is blank. The PC should load Windows if no Optane drive is installed. The boot loader should be on the slower HDD.

You will either have to create a system image of the factory setup with the 16 GB drive installed and then physically install the 32 GB drive and reimage the new drive config or install the factory image to the new drive config.

Imaging the new config preserves data and system image. Reinstalling the factory image destroys data and the current setup.

Your call.

Regards
