Product: HP All-in-One 24-f0024

Fan is very noisy.  With only a mouse connected and only Windows 10 OS, computer not doing anything, fan speed varies up and down - like a sine wave.  Noise is ANNOYING and constant from when computer starts to when it is shut off.  Local 'computer repair' shop determined that this is a known HP problem (by contacting HP) and somewhere there is a software patch to fix this, which is caused by the thermal sensor interaction to the fan (fan replacement will not solve the problem).  Tech at repair shop was let go before proper patch was found and installed.  So,  where can I find and install the patch?  Computer will not be used until this is fixed because it is SO distracting; this is a 2020 computer and I am not the original owner so no warranty coverage.
