Hi @EVS11

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand your interest in upgrading the HP All‑in‑One 22‑c0063w — adding RAM, an SSD, and even considering a CPU upgrade can make a big difference in performance.

You’ve already taken the right step by thinking about each component separately, so let’s go through them carefully.

RAM Upgrade

  • The HP All‑in‑One 22‑c0063w typically supports DDR4 SDRAM.
  • It has two memory slots, with a maximum capacity of 16 GB (2 × 8 GB).
  • If you currently have 4 GB or 8 GB installed, you can add another module or replace both with matched 8 GB sticks.
  • Always use the same speed and voltage (commonly DDR4‑2400 or DDR4‑2666 depending on your configuration).
  • Installation involves removing the rear cover, locating the memory slots, and inserting the new modules firmly until they click.

SSD Upgrade

  • Your system comes with a traditional HDD, which can be replaced or supplemented with an SSD.
  • It supports a 2.5‑inch SATA SSD.
  • You can either replace the HDD entirely or keep it as secondary storage and add the SSD for Windows and applications.
  • After installation, you’ll need to reinstall Windows or clone your existing drive.
  • HP provides drivers and software here: HP Software and Drivers.

CPU Upgrade

  • The CPU in this model is soldered to the motherboard and is not designed for replacement.
  • Unlike RAM and storage, the processor is not user‑replaceable in this series.
  • Performance improvements are best achieved through RAM and SSD upgrades rather than attempting a CPU swap.

Firmware and BIOS

You’ve already shown great initiative by planning these upgrades. Adding RAM and an SSD will give you a noticeable boost in speed and responsiveness, while the CPU is fixed to the board and cannot be upgraded.

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Thank you so much for yours reply, Hawkeye. I didn't really want to replace the processor anyway. Think I will go with the A-tech 16gb (2×8) DDR4 Ram, But might you have a suggestion on the SSD M.2 memory card?   Again Thank you!!!
