Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Unable to remove the two screws on the bottom of the monitor to remove the back panel.

After you remove the stand, there are 2 internal screws. Then the case is prying apart with a plastic wedge. I have used a putty knife. http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05145971

If you start prying around the edges, eventually you will separate the TOP edge of the case. It is then that you can see the screw threads. Maybe a plastic wand could be used to push on the threaded side as you turn the screws.

BTW<> when I did this for a neighbor, I had no such problem.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I had a clam shucking knife that worked well. Just needed to be careful on the sides as the monitor glass could chip if the blade isn't slide in far enough to release the snap connections.  One of the screw connectors was broken so the backing came off once I was able to release the top and sided of the frame.
