Microsoft Windows 11

I recently purchased the HP TE01 3435 Desktop from Best Buy. It has1x16gb DDR4 running at a speed of 3200mhz pre installed and has capacity to upgrade to 2x16 32gb DDR4 ram. I purchased Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16 32gb DDR4. I removed the one pre installed stick made by Micron and I then installed the 2 Corsair sticks. So I boot the computer and everything works fine except when I check the ram speed the two Corsair 3200mhz sticks are running at 2133mhz which is the default speed! There is no way to adjust the ram settings in bios with this pc.  Why is this happening and how can I get the new ram to run at the 3200mhz  it should be? is there any software I need to download to get the ram speed up to where it should be?

@Axel1111,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to persuade your Corsair Vengeance RAM to switch from its default aka SPD speed to 3200 MHz.  Best advice I could give you is to return this RAM asap and get your money back.

Here are some non-HP branded Kingston 2x16GB RAM of DDR4 PC4-25600, 3200 MHz, Non-ECC, UDIMM, 288-pin RAM sticks proven to work well on your system based on actual HP Envy TE01-3xxx Users: UserBenchmark: HP ENVY TE01-3xxx Compatible Components:

Samsung M378A2G43AB3-CWE 2x16GB
Crucial CT16G4DFRA32A.C8FF 2x16GB
Micron 8ATF2G64AZ-3G2F1 2x16GB
Hynix HMA82GU6DJR8N-XN 2x16GB
Hynix HMAA2GU6CJR8N-XN 2x16GB

Hope this is helpful.
