The internal card reader is performing at about 40 Mbs, as the machine is USB3 I was expecting higher transfer rates, I can not find the specs of the card reader anywhere. I do not realy want another external card reader.
Does anyone know the design speeds of the internal card reader?

There are several cables coming from the combo reader:
USB 3.0 (blue header), USB2.0 card reader (yellow), and an audio (white).
If I may, I would suggest this product. I use it with my system, which lacks a built-in card reader.
