EliteDesk 800 G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have recently purchased an HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Tower PC:

Model: 122J0ET 800G6TWRei710700 / 512pq / 16I / 54k ALL

From the specifications provided by HP i see that it is possible to have, in addition to the 260w power supply mounted by default, also a 550w (which is essential to add a hard disk and a video card).
(I link you to the official hp specifications :
"Power 260 W internal power adapter, up to 92% efficiency, active PFC; 550 W internal power adapter, up to 92% efficiency, active PFC")

I do not find anywhere, a code to be able to order it, however a compatible power supply of some other model would also be fine.

tnx

Have you done a search via:  http://PartSurfer.HP.com

to see if you can order the power-supply directly from HP?

If you are going to upgrade your disk-drive, consider a SSD (solid state device), because it is much faster than any "spinning" disk-drive, plus it consumes much less wattage.

What are the power/wattage specifications/recommendations for your proposed video-card?

I think that 260 W is sufficient for many computers, especially when using a SSD.

Yes , it was the first thing, no results.

the others questions are OT

You did not state that you tried HP Part Surfer.

I did not see any other QUESTIONS from you.

your other questions...260w is not enought.

I posted "statements", not "questions".

Question: which video-card are you considering that requires such a high wattage?

Question: can you lower your expectations to find a suitable video-card that has lesser power requirements?

Question: can you take your computer to a computer-store, for them to recommend a power-supply that physically fits into your computer's case, and provides sufficient wattage?

it's not a statement if you put a questionmark, btw, i need a 550w PSU. can you provide some hints for it?

sorry but i'm working and i have no time for off topic considerations, i've already done all the tests, the power supply is an "hp only" parts, i need an hp code (if exists)
