I have nVidia Quadro M4000 video card in HPZ840 desktop. Monitor is connected with Displayport cable. No problems. I just bought a Viewsonic 4K monitor. I made no changes to video card.
I disconnected cable from older monitor and attached to new monitor. Now computer is beeping 6 times. Works fine as soon as I reconnect old monitor to computer so surely it's not a hardware issue?
Uninstalled all nVidia drivers and software with no change. Also tried different displayport connector on video card.
Viewsonic suggested it could be a cable with older Displayport spec.
Any ideas of what else I can try while waiting for a new cable to arrive?
