HP Recommended

Ive been reading every single msg from you all on this issue since i have the same issue now

the diffence is my computer is not a HP build

ive been using the same disk for 2-4 years without any issues in a raid 10 setup ( strip=performance+mirroring=data security )

then BANG! same error as the rest of ya

i was thinking for a couple of days and desided to migrade from raid 10 to raid 5 ( parity/data/data-data/parity/data-data/data/parity ) to see it would change the conditions and for a day i thought it was ok.

THen BANG! error..

and concerns me even more is that its exactly the same error on 2 SATA ports also it does make sense if what im toll is correct that the ports is somehow linked each other but then again the error should then appear on the port 1 and port 2 as well, note i only got the error on port 3 and 4

and it goes on......

i went to supplier for a new disk

at the first time i entered Raidxpert and got it into my RAID 5 setup and bang same error as the old drive

i then thought maybe it was the SATA cable so i went back to my local supplier an got new cable.

startet op and BANG still the samme error.

my supplier advice me to look for melted or worn out condensators on the mainboard since the raid controler is onboard  and to check if the sataport it self was loose or damaged which doesnt seem to be the case.

so at this point im at the same situation as the rest on this Sinking Boat.

and disableing raid xpert is a ticket to real disaster as it is actually a interface for error information reguarding your disk/raid condition but if false is false and if you dont mind the risk of not being toll of new errors then for xpert sake disable raid xpert from launching.

Ive sendt a partition to AMD RAID "support team" asking them to Explain this error which can take several days
