AMD USB 3.1 eXtensible host controller -1.1 (Microsoft)

Problem

While trying to do a system backup to the front USB 3 port to an external 1TB drive. The transfer would start and at some point, although not consistent, the USB port would drop out and the AMD USB 3.1 eXtensible host controller -1.1 (Microsoft) would show an error code 43. Also a windows error is reported EventID 1001

The troubleshooting app in windows 10 cannot repair it and only a reboot will reset the ports so they can be used again.

System details

HP Pavilion Desktop PC 570-p0xx

Windows 10 Home 64 bit

AMD Radeon settings installed software 18.2.1

System Board 82FE11

BIOS F.20

This Problem resolved.

Later discovered that the mouse driver was not from the manufacturer but using a windows version.

Installed the latest logitek drivers for the keyboard and mouse. I believe this was causing the crash of the AMD controller.
