HP Z4 G4 Xeon 2123
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have fitted a Crucial SSD NVMe M.2 SSD, and the crucial help line states that i need to activate the AHCI .

However when i check in BIOS there is no tab for selecting AHCI.  But i can switch the RAID off.

Anyone know where i can check the AHCI is activated or not ?

Thanks

George

workstation questions (and workstation hardware questions) should/can  be posted in the workstation forum for a quicker reply in most cases

when you have the "Raid" option enabled,..... you by default will also have the AHCI driver loaded

answers questions like yours can be also found in the HP service manual for the "Z"" series workstations

The proper answer is: go into the BIOS (Advanced -> System Options) and uncheck the "SATA Controller RAID Mode" option but leave the "SATA Controller" option checked. The AHCI driver will then load automatically.
