Pavilion All-in-One - 24-r030ns
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello:

  I've a HP  Pavilion All-in-One - 24-r030ns. It has a 1 TB HD and 1 DVD reader.

I'd like to add a new SDD, not removing the current HD.

  My question:

  - Is possiible to add  a new SSD?

  - If not possilbe, can I replace the DVD with the SSD?

If not possilbe, I suppose I'll have to replace the HD with the SSD.  And connect the HD externally.

  Thanks

@FelipeGarcía , welcome to the forum.

According to the Motherboard Specifications, there is a M.2 socket on the motherboard: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-all-in-one-pc-24-r000a/17210305/document/c05631314

This information is in the section titled "Expansion slots".  If you look at the motherboard diagram it shows the location of the M.2 socket at the top of the board.

Here is the memory and SSD's that are recommended for your computer: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-24-r030ns-all-in-one

Scroll down towards the bottom of the page to see the M.2 SSD's.  If you don't want to buy from Crucial you can use their specifications to buy from another manufacturer.
