Hi @VteSampedro

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for considering the HP OMEN 35L GT16 for your gaming setup!

Adding an additional NVMe SSD, like your 4TB Samsung SSD 990PRO, is a great way to enhance storage and performance. Here's how you can do it:

Steps to Add an NVMe SSD

Check Compatibility:

  • Ensure your motherboard supports additional NVMe SSDs. The OMEN 35L GT16 typically has multiple M.2 slots, but verify the specifications for your specific model.

Prepare Your Tools:

  • You'll need a screwdriver and an anti-static wrist strap to prevent damage from static electricity.

Access the Motherboard:

  • Power off your desktop and unplug all cables.
  • Open the side panel of the case to access the motherboard.

Locate the M.2 Slot:

  • Identify the available M.2 slot on the motherboard. It may be labeled or shown in the user manual.

Install the SSD:

  • Insert the SSD into the M.2 slot at a slight angle and gently push it down.
  • Secure the SSD with the screw provided.

Reassemble and Boot:

  • Close the side panel and reconnect all cables.
  • Power on the desktop and enter the BIOS to ensure the SSD is recognized.

Format the SSD:

  • In Windows, go to Disk Management to initialize and format the SSD for use.

Enjoy your upgraded gaming experience! Let me know if you need further assistance. 😊
