hp pavilion gaming 790-0026no

Add an second ssd drive to an hp pavilion gaming 790-0026no (https://support.hp.com/se-sv/document/c06321143), is it possible? The Motherboard is the : Berks https://support.hp.com/se-sv/document/c06008802 and the picture shows that there is at least 4 sata ports.

But with that chassi, is it possible to add an extra ssd drive How about the Psu? doest it have extra powercabels? What extra parts do i need (If Possible)?

@DavidMalmgren , welcome to the Community.

 

You may have to get a bit creative to install another SSD.  With that said, the new 2.5" SSD's are very light and can be installed in any empty space using velcro.  If there isn't a power cable on the PSU you can possibly use an adapter to use one of the existing power cables.

 

My solution to this situation is use a USB cable to connect a 2.5" SSD externally.  I have two of them that I have used for years and it works great.  This is my favorite external SSD.  It actually comes with a USB cable to connect it to a laptop or desktop computer.

Thanks for the answer! 

We have order an 4tb intern ssd and bouhgt an sata data cable and mounting bracket , so the ssd drive will fit into the 3,5 slot .We also found the hp's mounting screws that is necessary for it to fit in the hdd slot. We migth have to buy an sata power cable split...
