ELITE DESKTOP 800 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My recently purchased elite deskto 800 G5 fitted with 256gb SSD is rapidly running out of disk space, I purchased a 1Tb M.2 SSD and fitted it to the second M.2 socket. On powering up it reported it was re-configuring but the second SSD is not visible in file explorer. What do I need to do to complete the installation. Note: as additional storage NOT as RAID. Any ideas? JimC

@clarkejh,

You need to format the device.  It will register as "Unallocated".

Thanks for reply but it has not solved the problem. The procedure you advise applies to an additional drive connected by SATA cable, this is an M.2 drive plugging directly onto the motherboard. There are some links on the motherboard near the connector, could these have something to do with it?
