Adding RAM and Do I need a new hard drive?

Hi,

I have an HP Envy 23-d160qd Product Number C9D29AV#ABA. Windows 10 64bit.

THE RAM ISSUE IS KILLING ME!!! Seriously. I want to upgrade to 16 GB of RAM. I have A LOT of hard drive space but I am told that a Solid State one would be much better than the drive that is in this computer that came with it.

The processing can be really slow but most of all I am tired of Chrome shutting down ALL THE TIME because I get a Note Enough Memory notification even with only 4 tabs open. I don't do gaming. I do log onto and use several graphic programs but they are all online and only use one  my computer BUT not at the same time. 

My questions are:

1. Which 16 GB of RAM is compatible with my computer and is it an easy do it yourself project (any videos)?
2. Do I need to get a solid state Drive and which one is compatible and are there any videos to install that?
3. After install one or both, what do I do to get back up an running? I use Carbonite to backup everything, I just want ot be sure Windows is on there and I can get my info back on.

For the SSD, yes, it is possible, you will have to check the hdd compartment, the original disk can be a 3.5 format HDD, ssds in general 2.5, in this case you will probably have to find an adapter to fix it!
The installation will be more complicated maybe because you have an all in one, for the system, either you start again on a brand new installation, you need the installation media (you have installed windows 10?)

Or use software sometimes supplied with the SSD, in order to copy the old hard drive to the SSD
