Adding a Video Card questions

HP Pavilion Desktop 595-p0084
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I bought the HP Pavilion Desktop 595-p0084  the other week and I want to install a video card.  I was looking at the "EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Superclocked 2gb GDDR5 GDDR5."  I know I would have to upgrade the power supply of the desktop to at least 300 W from the 180 W internal system it comes with (which I can't find one specific for it so any help with that would be great too), but my other question is would it even fit / can I install it on this specific desktop.  I can't really find any other information online about it.

specs:

- desktop:  https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-pavilion-595-p0084

- motherboard:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05991291

- video card:  http://www.microcenter.com/product/473245/geforce_gtx_1050_superclocked_2gb_gddr5_gddr5

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Adding a Video Card questions

Hi

You do realize that the purpose of these forum is to help the person who asks, yes, but also leave the information available for the rest of the world to see?  Sending the answer in a PM completely defeats the purpose of a forum.

Yes, I have the same type of question:

- figuring out what video card will be compatible

- how to upgrade the power supply accordingly.
