Adding extra ram

Pavilion all in one 24-r041a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I,ve purchased 2 new 8gb rams from upgradiable website but having issues with screen not turning on. It will work on one card say slot (a) which was where the original ram was in but slot (b) just won,t work even if I only place a card in that slot only. Upgradible website techs are useless and can,t seem to help me. Help me hp. Cheers

ok not getting any help from here. I don,t think i,ll every by another hp in my life. Their support is virtually non existing.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the RAM on the second slot is not getting detected.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

As per the specifications of your computer, it does support 16GB RAM. As you have mentioned that none of the RAM sticks are working on that slot possibly the slot might be faulty.

I recommend you contact support and they will assist you with the available service options for your computer.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
