For a OMEN desktop-pc 25L GT11-0000i / GT12, the manual shows two positions for a SSD drive directly on the motherboard. There does however not seem to be one on this particular model. Where does the second SSD go? I do not mean using an SSD via the second SATA connector.

Thank you for the additional info.
Your HP Omen GT12-0485nd (2Q4T3EA), according to: https://support.hp.com/th-en/document/c06987755, as fitted with the Dorado motherboard (SSID: 8704), only has one M.2 NVMe SSD slot. The other M.2 socket is configured for a Wi-Fi card only:
Hope this was helpful.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
I would like to know what motherboard you are talking about. As far as I can ascertain, it is likely a Dorado motherboard (SSID: 8704), or a Brighton motherboard (SSID: 86ED), but I want to make sure.
Please type in: system information in your Windows search bar, and click on the System Information App. You should see something like this:
The info I need is outlined/boxed in blue (System SKU and BaseBoard Product).

The same applies to your set-up with the same motherboard: “ https://support.hp.com/th-en/document/c06987755, fitted with the Dorado motherboard (SSID: 8704), only has one M.2 NVMe SSD slot.” This one slot is already in use, a second slot, contrary to the HP manual, is not included.
