@mkmccord , welcome to the forum.

 

Unfortunately, HP states that there is one M2. socket for SSD.  However, it doesn't tell the Key type (M, etc) or length (22 80, etc).  Here is the Upgrading and Servicing Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05158546

 

It explains how to disassemble the computer.  You can check the M.2 socket to see if there are one or two slots:

You can measure the length of the socket to where the screw is located to know the length.  The 2280 M.2 is 22 mm (.866") wide and 80 mm (3.149") long.
