HP 800 G2 Tower

Hi Everyone,

In the user manuals of 800 G2 tower and Prodesk 400M G5 desktop pcs it is written that the operating (ambient) temperature range for these PCs 10-35 degrees celcius as anyone can predict. What i want to learn that out of this range say 0-40 degrees celcius can these PCs operate for soem time?

Using the desktop outside of the design parameters will have two noticeable impacts:

1. You will void your warranty on the desktop.

2. Your desktop will break down sooner and more frequently than expected.

I advise that you continue to operate your desktop within its design parameters unless you are willing to accept the risks mentioned above.

Thanks for your reply. I think i should clarify the purpose of my question. I do not want to use the PC outside the temperature range but in a project all inside equipment have to work in the range of 0 to 40 so what i want to learn that can PC work in that range for at least 1 hour.

HP will not guarantee anything beyond the specs the desktop is designed for.

If you must use the PC outside of the designed temperature range then accept the risks of doing so.  The only way you are going to know if it will work is if you try it out for yourself.  Set aside the budget to purchase a new machine if you do.
