Can a 290 G1 SFF motherboard be fitted into a 280 G2 SFF case without modification?

Hope this isn't too silly a question....

The case may be the same physical size but the IO plate and the holes to mount the board will not line up.  In addition the power supply is different  I based this on looking at photos from eBay

280 g2

and a single 6 pin power

290 g1

and two 4 pin power are needed

I counted  7 case mounting holes but only 2 lined up AFAICT

Hi Beemer Biker,

Thanks very much for your  response, never thought of looking at Ebay... Brilliant Idea.

Anyway, it makes sense, so I'll go no further with the plan.

Much appreciated!
