Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would appreciate any suggestions with updating the bios version and drivers from 2010. I have an HP Slimline s 5000 series. My windows update recently started saying "something went wrong. Try again later." I verified that my internet is functioning properly. However, my HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP m425 stopping working and I am intermittently having trouble with my USB ports on desktop. I consulted with Totel Tech Support and also Microsoft and have learned that my bios version/date is 9/7/2010. It is my understanding that this needs to be updated (if possible) since I realize it is an older computer. Any assistance would be appreciated.

@McGlynn012 is correct, it is always dangerous to update bios.  Old system sometimes do not check properly to see if the bios is the correct one and if anything goes wrong during the burn in process the system becomes unusable.

Please look through the list below to see if you can fix the update problem.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/troubleshoot-problems-updating-windows-188c2b0f-10a7-d72...

Please check the your system has the correct day and time for your location.    What was the name of the update that failed?

Post back here if the above info does not help -or- you can register with Microsoft at that forum and ask there.
