CONSTANT HUMMING NOISE

HP Recommended
HP 24 df0008na 1h5W1EA#ABU
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Have just set up my new all in one HP desktop. There is a constant fan humming noise which has not gone away. Have tried reduced power settings and have run diagnostics.  Have tried  hard reset. No solution.

Is this a common problem? It can't be overheating or dust as it is a new machine and no heavy software running.

Not sure I can work with this constant hum.

Any suggestions?

thanks.

HI@HOPE501, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps:-

I have a few recommendations:

  • Updating your desktop  computer BIOS

  • Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean

  • Increasing the efficiency of the desktop to reduce heat

  • Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes

  • Selecting power saves settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
