Omen 880-000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't find any info about this and I can't event contact HP (which is BS, but whatever). I want to know if I can upgrade this MoBo (Higos, AM4 socket). Right now I have a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU and an AMD Radeon RX 580 GPU.

Are Ryzen 5 3600/ 3600XT out of reach for this MoBo?

Also, does anyone knows the size of the SSD NVMe (M key) for this MoBo? I really can't find any info, not even on the MoBo page.

@GabMon , welcome to the forum.

What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.  Also, when you say "I want to know if I can upgrade this MoBo (Higos, AM4 socket).", do you mean the actual Mobo or just the components on it?

Sorry for the late response @Old_geekster .

Product No. is 1VK44AV
OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-010z CTO

I want to change the components on the MoBo, a better processor (Ryzen 3000 series) or graphics. More RAM.

Also, do you know the size of the M.2 (Key M) for this MoBo? Is it 2280?

Ty in advance.

Thank you for the additional information, @GabMon!

If you look at the sections titled "Processor upgrade information and Memory upgrade information" you will see the compatible upgrades for each of them.  The processors have all been fully tested to assure they are compatible.  Any other processors will most likely not work.  You should use CPU-Z to determine the brand and timings of the current memory: https://download.cnet.com/CPU-Z/3000-2086_4-10050423.html

This information is in the Tab titled "SPD".  Different brands of memory don't always play nice together.  So, you may have to replace the current memory if it is not compatible with the new memory that you buy.  Here is the memory that is recommended by Crucial Memory: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP-Compaq/omen-880-010

Once you have the information about the current memory, you can contact Crucial's Tech Support to see if it is compatible with their memory.

Your motherboard has UEFI.  This is no problem.  The other three things to consider are very important.  Your power supply unit (PSU) is 500W.  I don't know if it has a 6-pin or 8-pin PCIe power connector.  You will have to to check to see if there is any in the case.  They will normally be easy to find if available.

Yes, I believe the M.2, SSD, is a 2280.  The Key M means that it is NVMe.
