Hello everyone.
I will receive my new computer "HP Prodesk 490 G3" next month, and I would like to know if this computer can boot from an NVMe hard drive? because I already have a Samsung SSD 970 EVO M.2 PCIe NVMe hard drive mounted on a PCIe expansion card.
Can this computer model boot from a PCIe nvme drive?
Thank you

@maljane , welcome back to the forum.
Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the computer: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04887112
This document is dated 2015. Are you certain that your new computer is a PD 490 G3? If you look at Page 14, "Drives", there is a list of compatible SSD's. As you will see, it lists NVMe drives. I can't find any information on M.2 drives.

Thank you for the additional information, @maljane!
Since we know that NVMe is compatible with the motherboard, you should be able to use it as a boot drive without any problems.
