Can I add RAM to my TP01-1026?

HP Recommended
HP TP01-1026
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought this new computer...and then I bought MS Flight Simulator 2020. I'm thinking I need to have 32 GIGS of RAM instead of the 12 GIGS I have. My question is can I upgrade to 32 Gigs? Any recommendations? Thanks!!

@TrenchMouth

Sorry to tell you this, but you had 3 issues.   Here is your unit.   Requirements of FS 2020

1) There is no dedicated GPU card.   You have a basic 180W PSU.

You need to replace or add the following:

2) RAM.  Replace the existing 4GB and 8GB with Crucial 32GB kit (2x16GB)  $135

3) GPU card -- The GTX 970 equal is now the GTX 1070.   8 pin 150W

The Zotac GTX 1070 is a shorter card (8.27").   It is $620.    Most GTX 1070's are 10.7+").

Now for the guessing:

No one on this forum has seen the Baker motherboard used in that computer and the motherboard is NOT documented.  We do not know what the cabling is from the power supply. I only have a part # as L81008-800, and again, NO description on cabling.  Other boards in the HP TP01 series: The PSU has a 2 (2x2) plug and an inline 7 pin plug leading to the motherboard.  Begging you, PLEASE send several pictures of the insides and describe what cables are from the PSU.  If it does match up, then proceed to step 4.

4) New PSU.   The PSU is these units is an HP proprietary designed unit.  Only their units fit.  You will need their 400W PSU to complete the setup. My spreadsheet lists a few of the part numbers. Scan across for the 400W units.  The L04681-800 is $78.77
