Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can I add a firewire port/card to my

OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-130vx CTO?   I added one to my old HP but not sure if can on this new one.   It's for my old camcorder.   If so, what kind?   Thanks!

  • PCIe x16 (Gen 3): 1
  • PCIe x1 (Gen 3): 1
  • M.2 socket 1, key A: 1
  • M.2 socket 3, key M: 1

Its specs:

You can use PCIe x 1 above for a firewire card such as

 

    https://www.lindy.com.au/3-1-port-firewire-pci-card-4440

 

There are few 800Mbps cards around.

Hi

 

You have a PCIe x1 slot on your MB.

 

You should be able to add a Firewire expansion card.

 

Check Amazon or other sites for options.

it seems that the only PCI slot is occupied by the graphics card.
