@rhinno , welcome to the Community.

Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that will help you know what to consider when upgrading your video card: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Knowledge-Base/Upgrade-Video-Card/ta-p/7481981

The three main things to consider are 1) the length of the card.  The article will explain how to measure the space where the card will be installed, 2) the wattage required to run the card properly and 3) does the card require 1x6-pin, 1x8-pin or both PCIe power connectors.

The PCIe slot on your motherboard is version 2.0.  The PCIe 3.0 cards are backward compatible, but you won't be able to take advantage of their full capabilities.

The power supply unit (PSU) in your computer is 300W.  This means depending on what you do with the computer, you may have to upgrade it, also.

Here is a nice small, but powerful, card that will fit into your case and work with your PSU: https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-gv-n105td5-4gd/p/N82E16814125916?Description=vid...

It is PCIe 3.0, but as I said, it is backward compatible.  You should read the Customer Reviews to see what users have to say about it.  Here is a PCIe 2.0 card to give you an example of what you get if you buy one of them: https://www.newegg.com/msi-geforce-gt-730-n730-2gd3v3/p/N82E16814127906?Description=video%20cards%20...

If you don't want these cards they will be good examples of what you need.  Just know that all components, especially video cards, are extraordinarily expensive right now.
