Sorry, I'm a noob:
Can I install a Thunderbold 3 card in my OMEN Obelisk 875-1023, with an i9-9900K, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super 8 GB, HyperX 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD? It says I have:
- Product # is 5QB56AA#ABA
- Serial # 2M094122SD
- HP 8509 motherboard with:
- one (1) open M.2 SOCKET 1, KEY A and;
- two (2) open M.2 SOCKET 3, KEY M slots.
Also, if I can install a Thunderbolt 3 card, do you have any recommendations for the best card to install?
My objective is to maximize throughput (mostly for video editing, but also light CADD work). Finally, any thoughts on when we can expect the next gen Thunderbolt (+/- 80 gbps) and future-proofing a system for that throughput?
Thanks in advance.

Greetings,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
You would need a Thunderbolt 3 motherboard header. I don't see this on your MB (Link).
I have not come across a many entry level or mid range consumer motherboards having this required header lately.
