Explain that question? Upgrade the components ON the motherboard ?
The existing 400W PSU would allow a nice GTX 1080 based on comparison values. The GTX 1080 pulls 5 W less than your existing RX580, but exceeds your card.
If you asking about a new motherboard, it is NOT a project frankenstein. The PSU is not a standard ATX.

The motherboard is no standard size board and may not fit in standard cases and the same with the power supply so a motherboard upgrade would require a case and power supply upgrade too. The CPU cooler might be not standard too but could vary model to model so yours could be standard. So a motherboard upgrade would take a new case, power supply, and CPU cooler.
