Can I upgrade to an NVMe using one of the PCI Slots

Hello,

I have an HP Pavillion p7-1436s. Can I upgrade to NVMe SSD using a PCI adapter? If so which adapter and NVMe do you recommend?

@Noel_Alcoran , welcome to the forum.

I did some research on a PCIe adapter for a NVMe M.2.  The one that I checked was made by StarTech.  It requires a minimum of PCIe 2.0 x4 to operate properly.  Your PCIe 2.0 slots are x1.  You can check with other manufacturer's to see if they have one that will work.  Since the computer is 10 years old, I feel like it may not be possible to use NVMe.

Yes, three years in technology is old; 10 years an eternity.  Every year component manufacturers are releasing at least one or two new models.
