I have a zbook G2 and a dockingstation A7E36AA.

Can I use that dockingstation with a zbook G5?

Unfortunately, zbook G5 is a partial identification of an HP Enterprise mobile workstation.

You can use the tutorial at the link below to find a compatible Docking station. You will need to know the product number of your ZBook.

HP has produced and brought to market more than a thousand different models of notebooks and desktop PCs over the years.

It is difficult to help you if we don't know which specific model you own..

Method #1: If the notebook will boot into Windows, you can retrieve your Product Number by pressing Fn + Esc key.

Method #2: Press the power button and immediately tap the F10 key to invoke the BIOS. In the Main section, you will find the Product number or Product ID. Post that in your next reply in your thread.

Method #3: Press the power button and immediately tap the F2 key.

Method #4: If powering on is not an option, take a look at the bottom of the laptop for the label with the product name and product number. For a desktop look at the rear for the label.

If your laptop has HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI version 10.3.0.0, there is a System Information section that also has the Product ID (System SKU).

I am sorry that I forgot to write that it is a zbook 15 G5. And also I do not have it. I have a zbook 15 G2 and want to buy the zbook 15 G5 as second hand so i cant see all the specifications. But i have tried to look at HP´s page with compatible parts and did not find my dock. But after I wrote the question I have seen a photo of the back of the pc I want to buy and i can´t see any place for the dock so probably HP has dropped the support of the old type very solid and extensive docks so i have to get used to the new lighter ons with fewer ports. But for now i have dropped the idea of buying that pc although it was a good pc with 32 ram and 1000 gb harddisk. But thank you for you effort. many greetings Erik
