Product: HP Pavilion - 15-cw1001na

My laptop does not turn on and engineer has said CPU is damaged and motherboard need’s replacement. Is it worth getting that replacement from Hp.

If the cost of the motherboard exceeds fifty percent of the laptop's current value it is not worth replacing the motherboard.

 

Purchasing it from HP instead of in the open market will be very expensive.

 

The motherboard has a new price of between $170-600.00 in the US. It may be more in the UK
