I am wanting to play video games on my computer; in particular Skyrim. What are some gaming video cards I can choose from given my present supply? Some games require DirectX 10 or higher compatibility with NVIDIA and 1GB of on card RAM. Thanks

Well then it is also time for a PSU upgrade. A 400W Corsair CXM series modular PSU will fill that requirement.

Considering how inexpensive the video card is, that still keeps this in the inexpensive upgrade category while fulfilling your requirements.

The older EVGA GeForce 8400 GS DirectX 10 PCIe x16 card should do the trick.

That card is perfect for desktop PC's that have a legacy BIOS.

Thanks for your response. The video card you suggested seems a good fit. However, my concern is that its spec suggested a 350W PS, my system has a 300W PS. Everything on my system is stock from the factory, no additions since.
